braces and wisdomteeth

is getting braces worth it for me? i dont have extremely crooked teeth other than 2 and i just have very yellow teeth but ill whiten them. im also getting all of my wisdomteeth removed in the summer and i js wanna know if that will change my faceshape. idk if getting braces is worth it cause its very expensive and im scared ill look ugly with them and maybe my teeth wont even look that different after. And should i ask my orthodonist abt marpe cause i have a pretty narrow palate

your teeth look nice, definetly need whitening. i dont think braces are worth it, but depending on what your entire face shape looks like and your side profile it changes. braces could cause dished in face, or soft tissue change which would make your appearance way different and your side profile fucked. i did a bit of math too, with the only ratio i could calculate being "mouth to nose", and its near 1.41 (exact measure being 1.4073587385) which is ideal, so you shouldnt get marpe, unless you want to make your mouth a bit wider which is totally acceptable. (and then after marpe you will 100% need braces)

also, teeth being straight should be the least of your worries, just whiten them and try to focus on different areas of your face

it’s def overcrowded maybe braces wouldn’t be bad. I also don’t know your bite so I can’t say anything about that. Try to get screened by an orthodontist

I would recommend getting a pallet expander asap if you can, they are expensive but it would be worth it. Your teeth are definitely crowded. If you keep your pallet at that size you’d definitely need wisdom teeth extraction

i already have my consultation for wisdom teeth extraction planned. i dont know when im actually getting the procedure done, but prob in the summer

I would recommend against braces as you dont need them and your ortho will not give you braces for something that minor, marpe may be a good idea but you might be forced into regular braces after marpe, as many insurances do not cover Damon braces so just whiten and ask for marpe but check your insurance to see if they cover Damon braces if they do get marpe if they dont I would advise against it unless you're very well off and can pay out of pocket
