Minoxidil Use & Effects

HOW TO USE IT (Routine)
Dosage: 1 ml two times daily.

Applying: To apply, put it directly on clean and dry skin in the area you want to treat.

Absorption: Allow a minimum of 4 hours for the solution to be absorbed prior to washing your skin or applying any other products.

Consistency: It may take several months of consistently using minoxidil before you see results, so do not skip any days.

EFFECTS

Increased blood flow to hair follicles. Minoxidil dilates blood vessels, allowing more nutrients (increased blood flow) to the hair follicle.

Extension of the growth (anagen) phase of hair/beard.

Activation of previously "asleep" hair follicles to begin producing new hair.

The capability to change fine hairs (vellus) on the face into permanent "terminal" beard (typically takes between 6 and 12 months).

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS

Dry Skin: Most common side effect of minoxidil (the alcohol in the product causes dry skin). Apply moisturizer 4 hours after applying minoxidil.

Shedding: When you first begin using minoxidil, you may lose some hair/beard, but that is normal. It happens because new hair pushes older hair out.

Heart palpitations/dizziness: If you have any heart palpitations or dizziness, decrease the amount you use or stop using altogether.

THINGS TO REMEMBER

Patience: Most people will not see any results from minoxidil until approximately 2-3 months after starting.

Permanence: Hair growth on the beard usually will remain permanent once that hair becomes "terminal." Scalp hair may require the use of minoxidil continuously to maintain them.

HM if you use it for eyebrows you should apply a retinoid few times a week cuz it boosts the sulfotransferase process. Not on the hair but only on the skin around it
