when will my acne finally clear up? ive been using treclinax (10mg/g clindamycine + 0.25 mg/g tretinoin gel) and also taking minocycline twice a day for almost 9 weeks now and the closed comedones on my forehead have definitely flattened, but i still get really gross and painful pimples on my cheek. i also still get some pimples on my forehead but theyre kinda small. for cleanser i use cerave normal to oily skin bcs my skin is combination. i dont use any moisturiser (mainly cause i ran out) but my dermatologist didnt really say anything abt that. in the morning i use cetomacrogol cream for acne scars. i do have an appointment in june but i js want clear skin as soon as possible and i thought after 9 weeks my skin would be clear by now

nah, 9 weeks isnt a long time to clear up acne. get moisturizer asap, because clindamycine and tretinoin irritate, and weaken your skin. some basic moisturizer like CeraVe could help alot by reducing irritation and help the treatment work better. also those painful pimples are deeper inflammatory acne, which is slower than comedones when it comes to healing/improving. just keep your regular routine, and add moisturizer is all i can really say and definetly have patience. goodluck

okay thankyou, do you maybe also know how to calm down inflamed acne, like a treatment or smt? i looked abit online and i saw to put warm green teabags on it, but it didnt really make a big difference.

benzoyl peroxide is the only thing i know that would help alot, and also something like pressing an ice cube on the acne for like a minute or two could cause a vasoconstriction which tightens the vessels around the pimple and reduces redness (cause blood stops flowing alot there lol) and also decreases swelling. ice only calms it down tho, not treat it

the problem with this is that its expensive to get cause of the country i live in, but if i use this with treclinax + moisturizer will it be fine?

shouldn’t be to much, its 10 USD in the US so cant be crazy. but yea thats a good alternative
