I have an hell of an overbite maybe 3 mm, I want to get braces but I fear of reccesing my maxxila. Either way my chin has shitty projection it’s not really reccesed though but still if I could fix my overbite my ricketts e line would probably be matched up for one and my side profile harmony would go up by like 6%

How old are you? Everyone that I know who got braces after the age 15 looked better. For you I think you should get braces it’s not going to make your maxilla recessed. But if it somehow did you can tell your dentist that you have trouble breathing through your nose and they might give you a marpe which will bring your maxxila forward.
