Began a structured skincare routine recently and it’s been working fairly well. Found a prescription of Tretinoin 0.05% and have done some research but I’d like some advice from anyone who’s used it. I’m using CeraVe Hydrating Cleanser, LRP Toleriane Double Repair, and Niacinamide. Does anyone know if the Tretinoin will have adverse effects when paired with my current routine?

lolz

i use it, its okay. i just use facial cleanser, caffeine solution, niacinamide from ordinary, SPF, and a moisturizer. at night i just wash my face and apply panoxyl or ceravaes acne control cleanser. then the tretinoin cream. stuff is expensive

GHK-CU mogs this to the slums of mumbai

I use Tretinoin, clindamycine, benzoyl peroxide, and doxycycline. I also use the same hydration cleanser you use and i haven’t had any negative experiences so far. It really cleared my cystic acne up.

What percent is your Tret? Might get a tube of lower dose to build up to 0.05%. Could help with the side effects but idk

I use 0.05%, it’s what i started with and i didn’t see any effects but some people might have more sensitive reactions to it.

My dad had a prescription so I have tried it before. I get pretty bad razor burn when I shave and it cleared most my skin in only a few hours.

You do know it has to be incorporated into a routine, right?

I don’t think it’s necessary to use daily. I think the best way to see is use it like 2-3 times a week and if you think you need to use it more than do so.

I looked around and found some studies showing that daily use leads to clearer skin and increased collagen production.
