So I’ve been wondering about this for a while and a lot of people say different things but how much calories should I really be eating during puberty if I want to lose weight my maintenance is currently around 2,700 I’m 6,0 185 lbs and 15 yrs but I don’t have a great physique kind of skinny fat but a decent amount of muscle just to much fat for my liking and I hear a lot about if you don’t eat enough cals it will stunt your growth but idrk if that’s true or not . At the same time people tell me to eat in caloric surplus because I’m still growing so I’m really just confused on what to do to lose weight while keeping my muscle + gaining muscle .

At 15 with your stats you're in a great spot for body recomposition. eat close to maintenance around 2,500 calories, keep protein high at 150g+ from meat and eggs, and train hard with compound lifts. Your body at your age can lose fat and gain muscle simultaneously in a way most adults can't, so you don't need to cut aggressively. The growth stunting concern is mostly relevant to extreme restriction so a small deficit is fine but staying near maintenance is the smarter play ngl
